So make sure the pads you are putting on don't contain asbestos. Call up the company. I know (or so they tell me anyway) EBC pads (which I use) use kevlar instead of asbestos.

Anyone who doesn't know that oil and hydraulic fluid are bad for you ought to have their head examined...

You sure about that? Not one set of rotors that I have ever purchased have been plated... It may be the popular aftermarket thing to do at the moment, but that certainly doesn't mean it is ok to buy I a set... Then again, I'm not really into the bling-bling, and I guess for show cars that are never driven they would probably be perfectly safe. :twisted:

Hey sinful7,

your brake rotors were actually Zinc Plated. We only shipped two sets of Cadium plated rotors to the customers at the beginning and we felt that the apperance on Cadium plated rotors were poor. We find that Zinc plated process provides the same (rust prevention) benefit as Cadium plated but has a (showroom polished) shiny look to them. One of Vosko's friend can probably testify the difference in appearance between the two sets since he has both at his house. Sorry for not updating our webpage early enough to reflect our new changes in our brake rotors.
