This was taken at the Memorial Day Parade. We are all members of USSVI (United States Submarine Veterns.) We are all qualified Submariners. One of the gentleman on the Float was on the commisioning crew of the Thresher.
And if you have ever qualified on a sub (diesel or nuke) you would understand that the men of the Thresher, Scorpion and every other sub ever lost in the line of duty would want us to remember & honor them in this way. We are also building a Memorial Float for the USS Scorpion SSN 589.
