I ride a trek 2300 and a cannodale cad-3. The cad-3 is cheaper so i'd look into that. My componets are daytona campi. Its a couple of years old but they were high teck when i got them. I like both bikes. Try and find a good used bike. They usually are cheaper and are better for beginers. I paid $1100 for the compents and wheels for my trek. I won the frame in a door prize. You can't go wrong with a trek or specialized. I'd look into the bottom lines of either of the brands. you should also be able to get a pretty good deal on one now since they are getting rid of the 05 models to get the 06's in.
