every model talon eclipse and laser had a awd turbo model

im pretty sure they both had fwd turbo and fwd n/a too, but im positive about all having AWD turbo models.



this is of 1g though, i dont know if they all had same model types for 2g

 

Wow, Rowtareh, You've never heard of a GSX Eclipse?



Both the Talon and eclipse came in NA FWD models, Turbo'd FWD, and then Turbo'd AWD.



Talon TSI is AWD Turbo I believe, and Eclipse GSX-T is AWD Turbo as well.



Whether its an eclipse or Talon, they both are put together by "Snap Tite" products, let alone this crankwalk issue. I've heard good things about some power that they can make, but I've owned and seen many DSM's and they are just too cheap and stupid to consider it a worthy platform for power. Mitsubishi, on a whole, just sucks IMO.

 

Never seen nor heard of AWD eclipses. I don't get out much, and I only follow RX-7's and Mustang(cobra's).



Have you ever seen crankwalk. It snaps the spark plug(usually all of them). It is crazy.

 

I'm not surprised you haven't. The GSX Eclipse is very rare. You can tell if an Eclipse is one (Depends what the owner did with the GSX badge too) if it has this big swooping rear wing, adding to the "Egg" image the Eclipse has become.

Wow, that is factory rice right there. Talk about uglyness. I have probably seen one, just never pay attention to eclipses. They are grocery wagons. **** em.



I saw crankwalk out of a turbo talon at a car auction. It looked bad. It took a big bite out of 3 spark plugs.

very fast from stop, good 1/4 mile cars



the fwd turbos have same engine, but i dont care. i only like the AWD ones, and the 1g's at that...



but yeah the non turbos are big turds



the 1g awd turbo is basically a evo 3 motor/drivetrain

 

It's basically a 1g non-turbo dsm.

I have an Eclipse AWD. Its a 1990 and I went 11.7 at 119 at 4200 elevation. The car has the has a factory ecu with an AFC for fuel control. Its full weight (3300lbs) and I did it with mud and snow radials. The car also uses the factory manifolds with a bolt on turbo and stock cams, all through 2.5 inch exhaust with an internal wastegate. Really good bang for the buck, and the perfect sleeper.

I no longer play with the Eclipse, and my current toy is a 1972 RX3 with a 12aBP with nitrous. Its loud, doesnt corner or stop, it requires exspensive sticky tires that wear out fast, but it is a lot of fun.
