Well for me it all started a year and half ago. I moved from VA to OR. Drove the whole way. I had a 91 Eclipes at the time. my parents said that it would not make the trip and gave me there 96 Stratus. I HATE FOUR DOOR SEDANS. But hey i took the car and went about my buisness. Decided to sell the car and started to look for sports cars in the 1000-2000 range. Some thing 80's style. I soon came upon the RX7 and did my research (like any good car buyer should) I fell in love all most immediantly. Once i learned about the Rotary i was hooked and couldn's stop. I look forward to the rest of the world to catch on and keep it going.

I'm not sure where it comes from. My love with the FD started back when I was 13. I saw one and didn't really know what it was, but everything about it was HOT. When it passed me all I saw was the MAzda badge, I got home and had my dad take my to the Mazda dealer.
That's when I saw one up close and fell even more in love with it. I had the salesman pop the hood and I was amazed at how small the engine was. That's when I first got to know about the rotary engine.
SInce then, it's all been rotary love.

Actually i almost bought a cheap CRX, then i came across a 88 SE. At that point I knew what a rotary was and was baffled that I could get my hande on one. I bought it the next day. Been in love with it since.

Ever sence I saw the FD I always want to get one, but didn't have enough money being so young. Then I got lucky and moved to Japan, and was able to get my dream car. Now after 3 engines and countless mods, I have learned more than I every thought I would! The more I learn the more interest I have into this amazing eng. Also have meet a alot of people with the same passion and love for the 7 here.
In Japan there is a giant 7 following, one of the most popular car over here. They even have a 7 day on 7-7 every year!

I like to be different so while all my friends and everyone else was telling me a rotary is unreliable blah blah blah, I still wanted to buy an RX7. Its just unique. I don't know. Maybe it was the time the seller redlined the FC was what got me addicted. The smoothness, the turbine like engine sound, and the how it revved so fast. Even today, the rotary sound is addicting.

When I was 6 I had my first ride in a 1st gen, thought it was a cool *** car. Ever since I always thought the RX-7 was cool. Many years later I learned about the Wankel engine and was intrigued by its unique design. Then of course I spent $30K on an RX-8...

My passion is deep, just as deep as everybody in here and around the world. I was first introduced to the world of Mazda and Dr. Felix Wankel when I was 7 years old. I could clearly remember the sound of a bridgeport Mazda R100 drag racing and pulling a wheelstand (all motor) down a strip in 1978. I've always been around cars. My Dad was a gearhead. Now fast forward to the present. I have owned every Mazda and other rotary powered vehicle in the market. From Mazda Rx2,Rx3,every generation of Rx7's to Rotary powered pick ups,Mazda GLC's, Toyota Starlets powered by a rotary,a bunch of Datsun 1200 coupes with a rotary, Toyota corolla's with a rotary. You guys get the point. Besides it's simplicity and smooth fast revving abilities, I was HOOKED when I first ported and polished and engine and saw I had the ability to create more power. I did not need a machine shop to work on this engine and create power. I was the sole responsible person for the reliability of this engine. I loved the fact that I created this power with my bear hands and tools. When I created my first bridgeport engine. I was stunned that I duplicated the factory horsepower with just a die grinder and some porting skills. My eyes opened with astonishment when I heard this Brap,brap,brap and engine reving well over 10,000 rpms open header. Then comes the test drive, amazingly high revving engine and making me feel like the engine was taking me for a ride to remember. I surely did remember and have been hooked for 20 years. I currently own 2 1991 convertible 1 94 FD that will be a drag race car a full chassis 1977 Rx3 Sp and 1 Rx8 and a Rotary Performance Shop Xclusive to Rx7 and rotary powered cars.
