Hey i just wanted to know how much is left in the resovoir when the gas tank is on empty...My light never came on but its very close to E like on the second notch. I want to drive around the block until the light goes on and i want to see how much miles u can get out of the E. Does anyone know im am very interesteed. Im very BORED..

Assuming the tank in my TII is 16.x gallons like everyone says it is, my car has about 4 gallons left when it's on E.

 

What I've been told by like Steve Fooshee and Brandon Mathews - about 2 gallons left in the resovoir(sp). Though, I never knew cars had res. in the first place, I thought only bikes did

anyway, about 2 gallons is left.. before you're totally empty. I wouldn't trust it though.

 

i am busy all the TIME. I just got home from school at 130pm at 2:00 pm i began studying for my Summer class ( Methods of Differential equations) and i stopped at 4:00pm cause i leave at 4:30pm to go to work from 5:00pm-10:00pm.





the idea came to me today cause i was driving home from school to and from on E. and i have to go to work now and i have no money. SO i was wondering if i can drive to work on E. Its 3 miles each way so 6 miles round trip.

It depends on how long you've been on E, but I'd think you could make it.

 

Probably. How long have you been straight on E? Your capcity(sp) of your car (same as mine) is 14.6 - + 2 gallons 16.



Anyway, You can probably make it. I wouldn't try it though. Try and find some cash lying around, or stop at your bank (if you've got an account) and take a few $$$ out, and fill up some.



Don't wanna hear that you got stuck on the road for running out of gas :P



By the way - how do you figure if you ran out? Like.. what does it do? I've never really ran out of gas before.....

 

When I did my gauges I set E to empty, so it it hits e it's empty.. I like it that way.

The car stops moving. Something about combustion...I'm no rocket scientist...lol.



Seriously, the car chugs a bit, stumbles, then dies. You may be able to start it a couple times afterwards, but it won't go anywhere.
