What's wrong with this AD?

2002 Jetta
Ad says it's a VR6, I see VR6 on the trunk lid.
BUT the Motor picture is clearly a 20 Valve 4 cylinder..

He has the 1.8 Turbo 180 hp motor in the car but is saying it is the 2.8 VR6 which is such a narrow V it is barely a V6... but whats up with the 1.8 Turbo in there???
Seems pretty professional...
Not a VR6 model at all...
Not that the 1.8 turbo's are all that bad... But VW's arent that reliable (worked for one of their dealerships for a while)
Nice cars cool gauges got some problems though...
The Turbo cars are always goofing somehow... not majorly just a pain in the *** way....
The VR6 is more expensive and does have more overall potential!

Obviosly a mixup of pictures, he stated that he has sold many cars on ebay.
As far as the vr6 having more potential HA HA HA no way man, tink about my screen name for a min.
I was the first guy in jersey, maybethe eastcoast to do a custom turbo kit on a vr6, after tons of look and fabrication, the car hit it's peak and was still slow compared to other cars out there. Now that sweet 20 valve turbo has some serious potential.

Ya that 20V comes from the AUDI A4 side of VW I believe. I heard VW is doing a W12 (2 V6 blocks sandwitched together) for an upcoming SUV. Now that will be trick.
I just found this ad rather odd... But I think you are correct, he must have mixed up the pictires. I was thinking maybe this was a totally car that was rebuilt from 2 other cars. You know the horror stories you hear on 20/20

All the Jetta's I ever see doing performance crap is the VR6 models... though I have seen many trashed 20 valve 1.8 turbo's come in... with everything from cracked block to rods being destroyed. Though stock they dont seem to do this. But the VR6's seem to hold up better and offer more in terms of horsepower potential. Just saying what I saw while I worked for VW....
