I am still pretty conflicted whether or not I want to subject myself to media stereotypes of the racing subculture. Just the silly one-liners alone make me want to go puke on Vin Deisels front lawn. That and the CHiPs style car jump scenes put me off to the movie.

If you guys really want to see a REAL racer movie check out "Two Lane Blacktop" It's very dated by now, It came out in the early seventies I believe. Very little dialogue but great cinematography. And if your one of those people who walk out of a movie going "man that movie was boring, they hardly talked" you might not like it. The real story of this movie is told by "the car", a fifty five box chevy.

damn kinetik got personal there...lol.

that rice thing is pretty damn funny. the movie wasnt bad, but wasnt very real either. My favorite part is when they are at the sanctioned race "drag wars" or some **** and they dont even have a christmas tree or wutever its called to start them, its just some guy flagging. GANGSTA ****. If i ever go to moroso and see that, i dunno wut i would do...its just funny...lol

I didn't think the movie was about racing all that much. It is mostly about Toretto jacking semi trucks. I thought it would be all about the cars, but its not really about the cars at all.

I think they should make an updated version of Two Lane Black Top with a 3-rotor FC. The car can be a sleeper, and the guys can travel across the States competing in street races, winning bucks to survive and keep the car running. Make it all about the cars and racing, and keep the dialogue down.

I got on DVD, you wanna borrow it? I think the movie is kind of cheesy. Gotta love the 10 minute 1/4 mile "street race," those stupid graphics they put on their cars, and their retarded NOS buttons.
