Okay, I have to argue this beer statement because I completely disagree with it. Good beer is not necessarily related to its alcohol content. Canada has mastered the art of ice beer, which isn't bad, but its pretty much borderline malt liquor which isn't that good. In the Northwest there are several microbrews like Redhook, Full sail, Scuttlebut, and even Pyramid that put out a lot of deliscious beers like heffeweizens, porters, winter ales. For some reason as soon as I cross the border none of these even exist and all I can find is Molson XXX and some funky honey brew. Killians red is the closest ESB I can find and its definitely lacking.

One thing I thought was kind of cool is that you guys still have dry beer, I haven't seen dry beer down here for like 10 years.

Props on pointing out some of the fine brews we have here in the NorthWest. A local importer of goods just started getting Arogent Bastard, an excelent brew from CA that we couldn't find anywere north of Nevada a few years ago.
