The last time I looked the Power FC was a standalone EMS. [/quote]

I thought a Power FC plugged iinto your stock ECU so you could tune fuel and timing. No.

WTF? What's with all these piston swap ideas? Are you people fucked out of your minds? And smurf, you sound like ******' Gheyson, "oh it's just a car...", get the **** over yourselves.

I say, get a reman so that you can rid yourself of your current particular motor and start fresh. After all, it's not the FD that's causing all this crap, it's only the engine that is failing. You have a strong car and it demands stronger parts to keep it running. People blow their tranny's because their engines simply over-power them.

Like Dave said, get a new engine and take it easy for a while. And get a new wireing harness while you're at it like Mike suggested.

That car is way to valuable to you to just throw it away for a Supra or any other car for that matter. (IMO as I understood you talking about it)

You're pushing the power envelope with that turbo and the street gas you're running. More boost would get you anywhere now, so maybe it's time to think about the next step, a 20B.
Thanks! You saved me a ton of typing. The thing that makes our cars stand out is its engine. If you want V-8 power/torque buy a corvette.

Pulling a rotary engine from an RX-7 is ripping its soul out.

It plugs into the stock wiring harness. Yes I can tune fuel/timing with it. Also datalog my a/f's, knock, intake air temp etc... and still keep oil metering. Why wouldn't it be a standalone?

I never researched it. I always thought it was just a piggy back like an S-AFC just that it could also do timing.

I saw Dimcorner from the evil forum at HIN a couple of years back and he had just got his and was punching in some fuel and timing maps. Thats what I drew my conclusions from.

I stood corrected. Never mind.

I still insist you should keep the car tune it for about lower PSI for Daily Driving and have a high boost set for those special moments.

Are you going to set high and low boost on it too.
