Interesting how many of us want to open our own shop.. that's always been my dream. I may go to a tech school for auto mechanics now since I have free time. I'm sick of the corporate world.. it's unhealthy.
21, and depending on who you ask, I'm either a Property Administrator, or an Administrative Services Manager. I work for the state's fish and wildlife conservation agency full time, and take one class at a time at a community college (night school). I should have my AA by December, and spending the next 2 years getting my Business Administration degree (maybe double major in accounting). I was going towards Biology, but I decided I'd have a better chance in this field (plus the whole being-a-teen-parent thing threw a wrench in the plan). When I'm done with school, I'll have the degree, plus like 5 years experience in the appropriate field (translation- mucho potential $$$).
Am I the exception here? I seem to have a totally different occupation than everyone else.

I hate Land Surveying and want out. BUT it is a very good living. So my plan is to pay off the mortgage then save up and start some other business that does not have all the liability.
94 you'll like this one.
Builder calls me today. The form board crew put the boards down wrong. I staked the house location and envelope as requested. I even did a form board location survey showing them exactly the configuration of the boards. The builder feels its my fault.
I told him that I did not put the boards down wrong and he needs to talk to his form crew. I gave them a survey showing the boards. WTF do they want me to do?? Their job??
I did nothing wrong and they try to blame me. No one steps up and says hey, I screwed up its my fault anymore. Everyone just points fingers.
