im looking for a new bank. ive been planning on switching for a while, but what i heard today is the tip of the iceberg.(or something like that)

im looking into getting an FD, and although i do have the money to pay up front i thought a loan, my first ever, i think, would be a good idea for my credit history.

so tuesday after seeing the car monday night, i take the application in and the girl is like, youll have an answer within 48 hours. last nite i stopped by a different branch, and the lady said that it was still pending. so today i stopped at the branch i put my app in and they said that it had been put through yesterday, and that id have an answer by monday.

Im a lil pissed off. maybe u guys wont really see a reason for me being so pissed off, as i rarely am or post about it here.

ohh, well. thanks for reading.

Get the loan, even if you have the cash. Pay off the loan with the cash you already have really fast and the bank will love you forever.

I beleive the expression you really wanted here was 'the straw that broke the camels back'

Mine was when I went to update my bankbook after not doing it for 4 months. They only put on the last 4 days, and all that was there were 4 different service fees totalling $20.

they didnt ask what kinda car i was purchasing or if it was from a private seller or dealer. im just pissed that it took her 2 days to put the app through. something that should have been done tuesday, wednesday morning at the latest, IMO.

But the real question is if I write Mike on a photocopy of a Wells Fargo check will it come OUT of your account?

I use a credit union, called Envision. It's great, I pay nothing, online banking, I can see my checks online that they scan into their system.

With financing though, I just flipped through my yellow pages, called EVERY SINGLE INSTITUTION I could find, getting quotes. I opened an account, with $25 to savings, and that's it. Lowest interest rate in town.

I highly recommend credit unions.
