I don't remember how old I was. About 16 I guess. The car was my Dad's 1963 Ford Falcon Wagon with the "big" 170 c.i. Special inline 6, three on the tree. A real drivers' car.

Riding lawnmower at 10.. if you don't count that: 15. The lawnmower had a clutch.

I musta been around 12, and my uncle (as well as the rest of my family) who lives in Brasil let me drive his Fiat (4-spd). It was a neat little car. My first car ever, though, was this 89 Civic DX hatchback 5-spd my mom gave me. Vosko remembers that car, it was at the same time he had the Audi Coupe. My next car after that was my '90 Integra GS (also stickshift), that I bought for $500 from a friend's dad when I learned they were gonna give it to charity for a tax break. Good times!

(not counting a lawnmower...)

the first time I drove a car I was probably 14 or 15, but it was like a one-time-only thing. Same thing with my friend's stick-shift Isuzu pickup; I learned to drive it after stalling like 20 bazillion times, but never really drove another stick until the 7. I drove proficient at 15, but didn't get my license until I was 18. I drove a motorcycle from 17 on up, and the 7 was my first car (at age 20).

First car I drove was my best friend's mom's shitty old '92 Subaru with 250,000+ miles on it. That car was so beat it was literally held together with duct tape. She let my friend and I take it around the block a few times when we were 15. She got scared because I was drving too fast. It was an automatic, though.

Second car I drove was my dad's old '90 Probe 5-speed (same one that's in my sig) Learned stick on that car, got my liscence in that car, ummm.... had a few other groundbreaking teenage moments in that car... ... and basically drove it for my first two years of being able to drive. Then I bought my TII, which I drove for 2 months before it blew, so I'm back to driving the Probe for the time being.
