I was just reading about a kid who's daddy bought him a car,

and the kid can't drive it 'cause he don't know how (manual).

I hear that a lot; "I can't drive that, it's a stick!"

I blame the parents for this! (My parents didn't know I learned

to drive until I was 16.)

My Grandfather used to throw me the keys at 13yrs and say

"You Drive." (He didn't speak much english)

So, for me it was a 1957 Ford F100. 3 on the tree, and an

extremely sloppy manual steering box. You didn't really drive it,

it was more like a sail-boat tacking against the wind. Top speed

@50MPH. Anything faster and you'd need medical help to extract

your shorts from your arse. But I digress....

AGE:13yrs

Actually behind the wheel and on the road was when I was 14 and it was in an 87 Mazda B2000 5 Speed.

Hummm I was in elementary school... I dont even remember what age that is haha. I drove a 80 something toyota manual truck in our backyard without my parents knowing all the time. We had a big backyard where I lived when I was a kid. At the same age I was riding my 4-wheeler on 2 wheels for fun, and it wasnt the rears hehe. I was always kind of a freak haha since my brother always had a hard time with a 5-speed since he was in JR.High when he started driving in that backyard hehe.

I love anything with 4 wheels and 2 wheels. NO WAY does this count out my "BIG WHEEL" haha

I was 14 and was driving a Ford Explorer, Dodge Ram, Ford Thunderbird, and a Dodge Caravan....pretty much any car we owned at the time...I learned how to drive a manual with my 1996 Chevy Cavalier that I got for my 16th B-day.

Then I got my GSX and now I have the FD.

I think I was 14 or 15 and my first unsupervised driving experience was a '68 Impala, and did suprisingly well. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR The first stick I drove was a friend's https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif '74 REPU (and didn't stall the engine because I'm so dope-ish).

I practiced a bit on many of my dads cars.. Since I was like 10.. The first time I actually drove a manual car/truck was in the Repu I own now.. I also happened to accidentally do my first burnout in that truck the same day..

I was 15 going on 16 and it was in a 83 Rx-7 GSL model that was **** brown. But it was a 5 speed and ran pretty good.

I can't say a 7 is all I ever drove but's it's all I've ever owned!
