I just bought a new 7 for 500.00. Dont know the year some guy ran a stop light and messed the front end up. Has performance holley carb and headers hooked to a still running 12a. The 12a has 123,000 miles on it but was rebuilt at 85,000 so has like 20k on a new rebuild. Its a 5 speed but i figure if i put the flywheel from my 13B NA on it i should be able to drop the 12a right into my '87 with the '87 auto tranny rite? The whole reason i am buying it is to put a running motor in place of my blown 13b.



So anyway the car is smashed in the front but the motor looks straight and he said it still runs, woohoo!

well this is great! the 13b motor mounts to the oil pan and the 12a to the front cover, jus peachy >_<

 

i wouldnt run a 12a in a fc.
