ever hurt yourself doing something dumb?



the only injury in the last 5 years ive had is i hurt my knee playing guitar.....

 

We have these inserts they use on valve seats for V8's I cut my fingers on them just putting them into a fixture so I can machine them...I have like a thousand cuts on the tips of my fingers it is exactly like chinese torture.

 

I dislocated my ***** as the base making a wierd angle of attack on a girl. Sure it hurt, but it popped back into place.

 

Ive practically made a living out of hurting myself in weird and creative ways. Heres a good one...



I was scraping the goo out of the area where the 2 pieces of a taillight were put together. Taillight in left hand, large screwdriver in right. Thought to myself "this would really really suck if the screwdriver slipped." I didnt even finish the thought before the screwdriver slipped out of the groove. And into my hand. It went in at the base of my palm, about 1/2" away from my wrist, through the center of my hand longways, and came about 1/2" away from coming out between my middle and ring fingers. Never in my life have I felt pain like that. On the verge of blacking out from the pain for a few hours. I couldnt do anything with my left hand, or even touch my palm for 2 months. Still had pain when I moved my middle and ring finger for another 6 months...

 

I got a nasty rash when I was younger (like 12) from using shampoo to **********. It felt good at the time though.



I cut the hell out of my arm when I was doing my engine swap in my 7, don't even know when or how I did it. It got infected pretty bad and left a scar. I didn't even notice the cut until the next day.

 

While recovering the verts interior a while back i was using a fabric cutting roller(like a pizza cutter only sharper) while thinking i should move my right hand i ran it straight across 2 fingers. Cut down to the bone on the 1st finger by time i dropped it and walked to grab a rag i had blood dripping off my elbow. If i grabbed the steering wheel with that hand while driving it would immediatly open up and gush blood.

Took out my front tooth taking off a socket from my impact gun



And broke my shoulder blade playin bball

 

I threw an Aerobie on our roof. Our roof is tin, and kinda steep, but I remembered my wife saying she used to climb all over it as a kid (we live in the house she grew up in). So I went barefoot, thinking I'd be more sure of my footing. It was freaking scary as hell, our roof is rather high off the ground, and it was pretty damn slippery. I got the Aerobie, and headed back into the window.



My foot felt wet. I looked down, and saw it was covered in blood. Apparently I caught the edge of one of the tin panels and slit my toe open. In retrospect I should have gone and had stitches, but just put a huge bandage on it instead. It didn't stop bleeding for maybe 10 hours.



Then I remembered being told the roof used to be shingled when she was a kid.
