Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knew any shops in California who deal with race prepping and fabrication. Mainly looking into building a track car and taking out anything in order to have a lightweight vehicle, mainly gutting the interior. I haven't decided on what car but I'm looking for a reputable shop that does this type of work. TIA.

weight reduction in a production car is a mindless task...no offense to you. Just take all the crap you dont need out and label it all just incase you need to put it back in.

Just remember, certain classes require dash parts and hvac systems to still be in the car

Yeah,

Check with the governing body of the class you want to enter.

Most have weight requirements.(Mins/Maxs) If you don't have the car yet,

the last thing you'd wanna do is disqualify yourself.

As for a shop that does this in your area, ask the guys at the track

in the class you'd like to compete in.
