I just got word today that a very close friend of mine shot himself early satruday morning. from what I could get form his sister they found him monday mornigh or evening. I have known this guy and his family since 7th grade I'm 28 now I have no idea how many years, I can't think straight. We even served togather in the Navy. Now hes gone. The only person that really knew me, not the BS people think is me. I always enjoyed his company and the last meal he and I made at my place the last time we hung out..

I know how you feel. I've been there. I've had a friend commit suicide. The hardest part is struggling with what you could have done differently to prevent it. And I'm not sure what to say to help you out... other than I'm sorry.

Wow I don't even know how you deal with that, but I'm truly sorry for you losing a friend who knew you so well.

You really cannot prevent it. It wasnt your choice. It was his.

I had to deal with this when I was a senior in high school a good friend hung himself in his garage. I was really close w/ his girlfriend and it tore me up to see her so hurt. She kept blaming herself.

Just dont beat yourself up, there was no way to know this would happen and there really was not anything you could do to prevent it.

My deepest sympathy to you and his family.
