Are you sure you can't source the HP pump from a junk yard?

BTW, you can spend $1,000 to 2,000 on air conditioning in nothing flat. The parts for my mercedes are cheap by most standards and to replace the whole system runs around $1,000 in parts.

OK Time for an update:

the 92 is running fine, I am just leery of a 400K tranny. - found the electrical prob with the power windows so it can be driven in SC without AC now. It received a full fluid maintenance today

The 99 had the harness rung out between the e

ECM connector and the FPCM connector. no problems found. Reassembled using Stabilant 22 on all pins; I also put in a new fuel filter since it was apart to access the ECM connector. Fired right up' no codes. I will monitor for codes (the Actron OBDII monitor is sitting on the seat)

FYI rebuilding diesel pumps is fairly simple and most parts only need to be cleaned up and refreshed. O-ring replaced ect, but no big ticket work unless the head seized or the plunger and barrels are way out wack, or need refinishing. Let me know if you want me to rebuild the injectors or pump or anything.

Why can't people just leave our engines alone!
