Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but before you share your "opinion" you should really know what you're talking about. My car *was* about maxed-out as far as the 13B-REW is concerned. You name the part, I had it. I was running arguably the best turbo setup on the market with all the best bolt-on parts. There really wasn't anywhere else to go with the car. Hence the decision to try something new, and God forbid, different.

Sadly, most of the "haters" who like to put down projects like this have never, and will never, have a car that is even worthy of discussion. I've been inside and out the rotary engine for all it's worth and the people who had the opportunity to buy some of my parts will benefit from them. I'm still yet to see one person who knows anything about performance automobiles, regardless of powerplant, have one negative thing to say about it. It's usually the teenagers who have been slobbering over an rx7 since they had a learner's permit but can't scrounge up enough tips to actually buy one, that have all the above-displayed close-minded "opinions" (if you even want to call them that).

But I asked for people to share their thoughts and I got what I asked for.
I'm not a teenager. I have 15 years of rotary engine experience under my belt. I own a rotary performance shop and I eat, breath, sleep rotary engine all day. You say you maxed out your engines potential I say your insane. You could have bought some billet aluminium ceramic coated side housings and went for power over 700rwhp. if that was your goal.

It seems that some people are under the impression that I got rid of the rotary because I was having "reliability issues". Really? When was this? Last time I checked, and I checked about every day, I didn't have any problems with my 13B. So to suggest that I did, is quite frankly, ignorant.

r_xplicit, I'm not really sure what weakness in the valvetrain you're referring to. They are actually known for their strength and dependibility. Do you know what part(s) failed on their cars? I'd guess they either bent a pushrod or broke a valve spring or two. Neither one of those things are problems from the factory. Both are a result of throwing parts at the car, like big cams, that it's not designed to have in it. Or number two, is they missed a shift and over-revved the motor. The stock 346 (LS1) is plenty strong enough to use a 150-200 shot of NO2 with an untouched motor. That speaks to how well it was built and designed by GM.

You can't blame ito. Drop a big stroked Chevy in a Charger, and watch the MOPAR guys tear you to peices. Hell, the Chevy guys too. I don't really care to be honest, I don't like it because it just doesnt belong there..But it isnt my car, so whatever. When you put so much dedication in something, and see another guy throw out the heart and soul of the car for something 'easier' it'll **** people off. That really isnt my stance, to be honest, I'm sick of V8 swaps. I've seen almost every non V8 with a V8 stuffed in it. It's sort of a trend now.

first you say my reply was full of ****, Now you say I'm an *******. I never called you out your name. I said your a sell out. and here you called me out my name. then you say grow up. First of all I don't care if you think Im a good guy. If your basing your opinion on me for being loyal to the Rx7 and rotary engine then Ill be to your dislike with pleasure. I truly dislike people that do not see the hole mission and purpose that the Rx7 and the Rotary engine is. You say show some respect. then that goes for the guy that mutated his FD with a V8 engine. That is a disrespect. I would expect the owner of the V8 FD to attack me, not some rotary engine moderator. And it seems like your to loose with your fingers to type some disrespectfull words to me. I tell you this 94 touring guy. **** YOU and everything your selling out soul stands for..
Judge please cool it, this looks ridiculous.

I see a serious flaw in you guys' logic. The ONLY people that have a "right" to be offended by the transplant are the original rx7 designers and Mr. Wankel himself. THEY are the ones who poured countless hours of sweat and blood into something. If anyone here was involved in the design, or hell, even the original production of ANY generation rx7, then I'll be more than happy to apologize to you for desicrating your hard work. For those who feel an inherited "ownership" of the rx7 and its design, I applaud you for your dedication and hardwork, nothing more.

Mr. Ashe, you suggest that because the motor came from another manufaturer that this is the basis for your disgust. So if I were to use the V6 the Millenia come with, that would be ok with you? Or is a matter of only using the exact motor the car came with? In that case, how do you feel about all the 20B FD owners out there? Should they be thrown in the big pit of snakes with me too?

...and Ito, I could ceramic coat and dowel-pin my *** until it bleeds, but it still won't compete with a built V8. If the ultimate goal here is ultimate performance, the rotary is the wrong way to go. I wanted something that required little to no maintenance and would run consistent 10's and that's what I got.
