israelies don't **** around, they also know if iran actually uses a nuke, odds are isreal is on the list.... near the top. They also know that if by some chance they do get in over their head we will help them, the will prolly roll in, destroy wutever facility iran has and leave.



I don't know that we have much choice, it's pretty hard to invade iraq on the rumor of nukes and ignore iran when they are braggin about it, not going into iran would pretty much remove any doubt that the american people had about the "intel" that took us to iraq.

 

Yeah the Iraqi invasion set a precedent that is going to be nigh impossible to uphold.



I think it's interesting to hear that Israel would help us with Iran, I'm ignorant so I hadn't heard any such notion related to the whole Iran-has-nukes-and-is-taking-over-the-world-omg-ohnoes-thing.

 

they wont be helping us if things go as i would imagine most would prefer, we'll provide weapons to the israelies as we already do and I dont imagine they will have much issue burning through iran.



these nations have been fighting for hundreds of years, the fear is that the first one with a nuke wins, iran nukes dont really directly threaten us as they don't have the ability to get them to us shores. They do however threaten our allies, which may or may not be important enough for us to act upon.

so iran says, "hey we've got nukes" so we invade iraq, which gets the iranians all worried, so they are gonna bomb isreal, but the irealis are quick like fox and will bomb them first?
