i have a 1988 RX7 13B with the automatic tranny can anyone tell me if it is possible to change the u-joint in the drive shaft???? i have searched and searched and searched and i cant find a u-joint anywhere any ideas????? my vibration seems to be comming from the drive shaft so i figured it prolly needs to be balanced but i kinda figured i better have my ducks in a row ( have some u-joints) just in case they tell me one is bad.....i really need as much info on this problem as i can get, i have been told that i have to buy a whole new drive shaft so if i can get some u-joint specs and some install info that would be great thanks a bunch........

This might help you: https://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?...eshaft+u-joints

Perhaps a mod with more power than I can move this to the second gen section?

Yep, had my 920 shut down when pump failed to rotating joints start and i didn't notice, got to desktop, realtemp loaded and saw 88c before black screen and PC shut down, tried turning back on and would only go rotary union for a few seconds before shutting down

Checked loop and block was baking, let it cool whilst looked at loop and the power connector from fiber optic rotary joint pump had come loose, sorted that and turned back on and all was well

Thermal management of the chips works well

Unfortunately the u-joint on the OEM driveshaft is not replaceable, but I know there are people who bring the shaft to driveshaft shops to have them make a new u-joint.

However, if you want a bolt-in unit, which may cost about the same, look at Mazdatrix's website here:
