I suppose there is more than a little of the Cadillac personality in the Avalon. That thing is as bland as white rice. The Camry is the ubiquitous family car for the 90's, and the 00's and the 10's, etc. etc. etc.

the problem with these is the idea that they don't break, when the truth is that when they do it costs more to fix than a caddy would, I no like toyotas anymore

Thats not true, my mom ran her 06 Crolls into a curb when she hit an oil slick, to replace the rim, tie rod, ball joints, and the wheel cover was only 490 cdn, on a Caddy the labour would have been that, because GM is retarded and press the ball joints in. Oh and she had to have 4 wheel alignment done, all that for under $500 is cheap if you ask me, but I spose the labout rate around here is still 65/hr so that helps.

I feel quite sure that a Caddy dealer is gonna ream you with a bigger tool than your average Toyota dealer. And Toyotas are quite widely regarded as the most reliable make. That's not saying that they never break, but you can be damn sure they're more reliable than anything GM is selling.

toyotas are cheap to fix.... at my shop i dont even like fixing them cause i barely make any money off of it. Gm on the other hand is wonderful lol.

hell even the toyota dealership do **** cheap, and most everything only requires an hour or so labor, hell one side of a GM truck for upper and lower balljoints on a truck with 4wd is like 5 hours, i can replace a whole toyota knuckle in like 45 minutes...taking it slowly.

Toyotas, Volvos and Volkswagens have a speed limiter that keeps them 10km/h under the speed limit, no matter what the limit is. Pretty high tech.

Couple at work just ventilated the block of their 2003 TDI. Having a hell of a time finding a replacement motor, I imagine there is a lot of demand for replacement motors on those shitboxes. VW people just won't give up on them, no matter how much money they lose.
