ok, i've finally figured it out.
fb=1st gen
fc=2nd gen
fd=3rd gen
i'm kinda old fasioned, but i think the fb's look better, fc's look like porshe's, fd's look like all other cars nowadays. the only thing close to a fb is the POS datsoon. and its not even close to the styling and class of the rx-7. yet if you wanna get tough looking, i prefer a rx-2 ro 3. the hoods just got that look. anyways heres a not so tough lookin fb.

BTW Not all first gens are known as FBs. The earlier ones (79-80 [at least I think its 80]) were known as the SA22, then the vin changed to FB for the 82-85 models. IMO thats a VERY clean 1st gen.

ok. i didn't even realise you were talkin about the vin. it just looks clean cause it was wet. not kiddin, bought it for $100. got it runnin in 2 days. changed windshield then spent one cold night (was snowing) and painted it in my garage with sherman williams chem 400.( not exactly good auto paint.) then spun the apex seal right off. sold my bike, got an engine built by atkins, ran great.(until i had wal-mart change the oil at 659 miles). waiting for the engine to be built again. heres what it looks like.

yeah, i've taken my truck in many times(when i was lazy or too damn cold) . but i was moving from idaho to washington. so on the way i stoped to get the first oil change. they changed it for me all right. it only took 16 months to get a settlment so i can get my engine rebuilt. i didn't even get my holley on the engine.
