I want to get rid of that car.

im also tired of the other convertible sitting, I want to get rid of that too.

Ahhh, someone else who has had an assfull of the lightweight flywheel, when the clutch job gets underway in the vert, i'm pitchin that goddamn thing as far as I can!

between the flywheel and the clutch it makes me sick

you have to be a sick bastard who has never driven a car with any quality to it to like a light flywheel and 6 puck style clutch.

Since we're talking about lightweight flywheels, I can't resist:

If I'm interested in building a T2 solely for drag racing, will I reap any benefit from going to a lightweight flywheel? Or am I better off with something stock? Heavier than stock?

I've read seemingly contradictory information on this subject, and I'm looking for a few more informed opinions.

heavier is better for drag. just stick with the stocker. ive tried a bunch of different flywheels and the stock has the best feel and drivability. i HATE lightweight flywheels. i would like to try out a heavier flywheel, as in just a tad lighter then stock to get it to rev a bit quicker but not loss as much momentum.

j9: yea, i dont even want to work on the fd, the engine bay is like a frickin pt cruiser.

rob: trade ya an fd for a t2. got a brand new motor for the fd, and a t04r kit and full fuel system...and a PFC. just needs paint and assembly at the moment

The Fd FW is like 3 or 4 lbs lighter than the s5 TII.

Can I bolt up an FD flywheel on an s4 T2 motor and have it work with the starter and everything?

I have a brand new 12lb racingbeat flywheel for my turbo swap for my vert.

I think the 12lb is a nice compromise.

Nope the rotors aren't the same like the S5.

I have a Jun 8-9 lb FW, and I love it, then again I don't live in a city.

Yeah, I don't doubt that a lighter flywheel helps the engine rev faster, I just wonder if that will make up for the weaker launch at the dragstrip. Street performance is irrelevant in this case.
