Past 48 hours have been pretty interesting to say the least. Anyone who doesnt know why, we had a huge ice storm here, enough ice build up to bend the tops of trees to the ground, and cause power lines to go down as well.

Had to go to a wake for a friends grandmother who passed yesterday. to even go I had to pour buckets of hot water over the Jeeps door latch.

Afterwards we hit up Chilis in our suits. On the way there, we saw a top speed of 25, and the most fucked up Cavalier ever thanks to a ditch and a few trees. People were already out and ok though, so that was good.

Had a Chilis good old 32oz tall with my meal and we left. The ride home is where it gets interesting.

The weather has warmed slightly while we were in Chilis so the roads are now clear of ice but filled with water. At least 5 times I had spray higher than the roof on the Jeep. Drop one friend off, then on the way to take the other friend home see a sudden strike of BLUE lightning which made all surrounding power flicker. Get to his house, power is out for the whole grid hes in, plus trees are down all over in the road. This guy in a new TL was going to hop a curb to go around but chickened out. He turned around again and followed my suit after I barreled through it at 30.

So I drop my friend off and go home. Then I'm about to go get some gas for the Jeep (7miles left on the tank), when all power just goes out. 1 minute later its back on, phew. Start my computer back up, one more miinute later BAM, power gone again! One last minute and the power comes back but nothing I get through Time Warner is doing anything, which includes cable TV and cable internet. I then just played some games on here then went to sleep.

Then to top it off, the gas stations had no power this morning and I had to take the RX-7 to go to the funeral.

I only just now got both versions of cable back, but wow, earlier when people were cleaning up the sides of the streets everywhere were 6 feet high with branches, and a few people had to get complete trees hauled away.

Anyways im back on now, and have a long bath planned for my car Friday since its supposedly going to be 65! Got to love the weather around here...

I heard about all that...it's pretty crazy. My sister's power (in Oswego) only went out for a couple minutes, but my mom (in Syracuse) hasn't been online in a while, so maybe hers is or has been out.
