Like the title says. So I was driving back to a friends fathers shop following him who was driving a diesel truck. We stop at a red light in langhorn PA the light turns green and he starts to go. I was busy talking to a friend who was with me. I seen that they were going so I let the clutch out a little too quick at around 2 k. She chirped like she usually does. I go about a 1/4 mile without going over 30 mph because my friends slow truck was in front of me. nonetheless I get pulled over. The officer messed around with me and asked me how much my insurance was I told him 1000 for 6 months. He told me I better get saving because it is going to be more next time i pay and laughed while walking back to his car. Came back with a 281.50 ticket saying that I accelerated too quickly along with chirping the tires. (note that I did not burn out because an N/A that is stock can't do that) He also said that I was "racing on the highway" yet I did not go over the speed of 30 MPH in a 1/4 mile. I can't accelerate heavily with a N/A diesel truck that weighs 7 tons in front of me. I am going to fight it because of the fact that the school I am going to will not allow me to go with any points on my record. Has anyone faced similair charges? I just get really frustrated when i never had a ticket before and i was no speeding or driving like an *******.

 

get a lawyer...... its going to cost you alot but will be worth it to have no points etc

I hate when cops are like that. I am fighting the points because if i get any sort of points i can't go to the school i will be going to in the fall. I really do not feel like going to east stroudsburg university because that is my other option. I rather go into the army than that place.

 

I've done a few of similar situations well kinda but in Washington if memory serves me it was like 300 for the attorney to go to court and make to whole thing disapear - get it thrown out on a technicality. Good luck I would recommend that route -- costs a few but its a pretty safe bet for a dumb ticket.

 

Yeah sounds like a typical PA 50. I never seem to get fucked with in the 7 i think they just know they cant catch it. But deff fight it. I just went to court for a 85 in a 55 when i was on 66 in my DD took it to court and got it reduced to 5 over and no points. And they had me on radar. Your ticket is total bullshit rip it to pieces in court.
