i hate thursday, i was watching MTV, and then this crappy *** band came on, and then it only showed like the lead singers nasty face, and you can tell his face was greasy, then it showed the bassist with long hair...so i was thinking, cool another crappy band, and then it was thursday....

 

Most of my friends like Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Dashboard Confessional, etc... but I hardly ever hear any of there stuff. Maybe I'll download some just to see if I want to buy the CD.

 

Well Thursday is from NJ so they have an excuse for being dirty.



Besides that they are a pretty good band. definatly a unique sound and very well written songs. So....

 

Well, you were watching MTV looking for good bands, so there's how much we could/should value your musical opinion...



As for those that actually know their music or gave them more of a listen, you know, to their music, and not how they look:



I think they rock.

I live 25 min from NJ and have seen many "Home" shows of theirs and they are VERY INTO their own music which is hard to find nowadays if you ask me.



As well, the music is very creative, and not JUST about girls (How it got the emo title?, probably just the melodies). They are very artistic.



My only gripe is his voice, its really high and gets to me sometimes.



Nonetheless, it's very hard for me personally to find a band that is artistic, creative, different, passionate, and writes about things I can relate to all in one nice package. They come few and far between and thursday is on that list.



I'm not saying everyone has to like them, I do because they fall in line with my type of listening (rock in general). So yea. Take this as you will.



Their new CD comes out this month, the 16th I think. And at Warped tour they actually encouraged fans to burn their music for others . But I still give a band respect and buy their albums (i'm gettin the lithograph...woopie)

Thursday are alright...but not as good as Coheed...nice Sig...I'm prob. going to the Thursday show coming up in Philly....I haven't listened to them in months....Left the disc in the RX and it's been at KDR for a while...
