the 1.8's are regular gas engines, and yes everyone and there mom has one.

To make a diesel rotary work, you'd still need spark plugs. I think propane injection added to the mix may be one of the only ways to ignite the diesel. Also, Renesis rotors with their 10:1 and a turbo or SC would also be good.

BAH, you need at LEAST like 13:1 for a low compression diesel, and if you have spark plugs its not really a diesel engine, you're just running a different kind of gas in a gasoline engine. Diesel engines by definition perform combustion by means of compression, no spark or ignition is needed.
