Well, if the hamburger was sitting on top of the spoiler, it would be creating a region of slower air, thus at a higher pressure, behind it in an otherwise smooth airflow, helping to push the hamburger forward against the flow of air. now, if we assume the hamburger to be a non-deforming puck-shape, there will not be much air deflected upwards because of it, giving it very little downforce onto the spoiler This would probably be counteracted by the reduced pressure of the air flowing over it anyway. My guess is that all the air rushing by cooled and helped to solidify whatever grease there was on the burger, making it condense, creating vacuum pockets underneath, and sticking it to the spoiler.

I dont feel like digging out my fluids books to calculate the forces, but if i keep trying to procrastinate on this paper, i may just have to...

just to clarify, the burger in question was left over from lunch the day before. it was from del taco. we had even thrown it around before we loaded the car on the trailer and placed the burger in question on the spoiler. car was an 88 rx7 turbo, well still is

It seems to me that may be because it was tied down to a trailer, which would throw all our earlier calculations out the window.
