i could never play that game. it hurts my eyes to look at that screen shot. looks like theyre more focused on being artsy than realistic? (i cant remember the last time i saw the sky and all i saw was BRIGHT yellow/white)

http://www.liveforspeed.net/ The demo is free, the game is not much more at $20, we should definitely have a tournament of some kind when we get a handful of people.

I think with all the time involved in the newer game systems, I'm past my prime for gaming. All the online compatability, the realism, I think it would just take more time devoted to playing the system every day. Anything more than GT4 I don't think I could handle.

As I see it, the ONLY TWO THINGS sony needs to do for GT5 is damage and online play (tire skid marks and vehicle/scenery interaction, aka breaking gates in rallys when you slide into them or something, would be nice too), and the only one of those im really missing is damage. What really pisses me off is that with some of the races, its faster to let the wall just guide you instead of actually driving, and damage would change that.

Im just wondering how you take care of damage after the race is over, like, would u pay for it out of your credits, or would it magically disappear, or what?

I cant imagine what Rockstar could do on the PS3 with another GTA, if they were to make another (altho san andreas was supposed to be it)

they cant let the cars damage. otherwise, how could the manufacturers sponsoring GT5 make money if their cars are all busted up?

as far as how to take care of it, have you ever played sega gt 2002 on xbox? there is no physical damage but you have a "life bar" of sorts that depending on how far it went down during the race you have to pay a proportianate amount. The actual parts degraded after time too (if you ran high boost for example your engine would wear and you would have to overhaul it).
