Targa New Zealand!
#1
Hey fellers,
I rarely put on the Speed channel (too much Nascrap). But today after some WRC coverage they had an hour special on this rally race that's open to a more "public" level of participation that takes place along some nastee twisties in new zealand.
Lot's of vintage rides are shown, and lots of crash's and crazy off-course flips and dips.
Anyways, there were maybe 3 FD's in the race, and 2 FC's (one widebody). Of course, it's foreign, so the kits and wings were really wacked (the red one was pretty sweet, the most modest one).
The silver one with a huge wing had a big spill. Fell into a bank of the ocean. Also, there was a Rotary nut who raced his Rx4 and talked of his rx3-7 driving history.
Nonetheless, in the end, the Rx7 came in first (female driver!) followed by many porsches, and one ford (Focus WRC-ish setup).
Anyone else catch this? Look for a re-run....or the next coverage...it was awesome.
