article1

In the above article a guy writes a letter about seatbelts, how it's his right to decide if he should wear one or not, not the government. This was september 04

The next article is about how he dies 4 months later because he was the only one not wearing a seatbelt during an accident!!

yeah, someone posted that on the Tundra forum a few days ago. I think its kinda funny. The dumbass got what was coming. i feel sorry for his family and friends though.

I was a volunteer fire fighter for 5 years, we did first response and all that crap, and I watched several ppl die cuz they couldn't get out of their seatbelt (2-3 fires, and one drowning..), now I wear my seat belt EVERY time I get in the car, but I always think about that first...

5 point harness with single point quick release is the solution to that Crashfactory.

in some places it's llegal to wear a 5 point or any after market harness, because anymoron can install one

the first pro7 car we built had a cam lock harness, the driver managed to unlock it and then crash the car and he broke a couple of ribs and put his helmet into the windshield.

conclusion: you cant predict the kind of accidents people will hurt themselves in!

venomrx7 01-15-2005 10:38 PM

The vert has 4 point harnesses. Its parked though.

the truck would be kinda funny looking with 4 or 5 point harnesses. Unless I turned it into a prerunner or something.....

TyresmokinRx7 01-15-2005 11:31 PM

In Canberra it's ok to have 4-5 point harnesses, but if the cops stop you, you better have a engineered cirtificate with you for proof it was installed correctly and by a pro dealer.

venomrx7 01-15-2005 11:37 PM

keep in mind, i live in south Mississippi. when a cop down here would pull me over and look in and see my harnesses, he would forget about the ticket and start asking about the car. That happened 3 times.

and we have no emissions laws, so i was free to tell the cops everything. they all thought it was pretty cool.
