**** supra's... heavy lard tards!

Ive seen a 600ish whp fd take out a 1200ish whp supra.

Very close race but still I think the fd winning and being less hp is more impressive.

ill keep you in mind when it comes time to make a decision.

is it easy to work under the hood or is it as much of a rats nest as the fd's?

kevin.

It has it's version, about 74 vac lines or something like that. But all in all not too bad (the FD is much worse as far as placement). Once he got it we did the Non-seq. mod then went single shortly after.

I dont think they are terrible cars. On the other hand, the jacked up market kinda turned me off to them. While always a bit pricey, it wasnt hard to find a nice MKIV TT for $16k-$20k. Now the same car sells for $25k-$30k. I just dont like how they feel either, if you are use to a tight FD the big 'ole MKIV takes some getting used to. On the other hand, its tough to find a better highway car without jumping up a price bracket or 10. Also if you are used to paying for after market prices for the FD, the Supra is about identical.

Also the auto tranny in the Supra is far far far superior to the auto in the FD. To the extent that alot of MKIV owners swear by them over the 6-spd. Kinda makes the search easier unless you HAVE to have a manual. l
