That's what I do...I try to rip out as much of the nail as possible before the blood makes it too hard to see.

When I crushed my foot I lost a lot of feeling in it. When I initially crushed it the Corpsman used a pair of pliers to ****** off ALL the nails on that foot. That was before the painkillers had set in. I had Ganggreene set in on the second toe and had to have it partially amputated. Yep lots of fun

My Dr used a low grade acid to burn the nailbeds in the corners.

Only needed to do it once @ 10 yrs ago. Been fine ever since.

Before going to the Dr, I used to do the "self surgery". It got to the

point where I was using a small pair of scissors all the way up the

sides. *shivers* I hope never to need to do that again!
