i did stop by the margaritaville store in order to remind myself how much a marketing genious jimmy has become over the years, i am sure there was a time when toured for reasons other then selling $10 coffee mugs and $25 t-shirts...... pretty impressive for a guy with no radio play.

Yea i was actually thinking about the last night, seems we're coming to an end of an era... you know one where "musicians" could play an instrument or 5 and actually compose their own songs. There's few people to replace even the big names. Not sure how we ended up where we are musically i dunno if it's the fact that u didnt used to be able to make mega millions cutting an album and getting radio play or what.
on the flip side a lot of the 80's bands are back together and touring. missed twisted sister in the 80's cause they broke up before you were 10? now you can go see em.
we saw duran duran twice last year, they actually put on a good show, it was a lot of fun, and they're not on the radio anymore either
