Still ...
haunts and deeply saddens me till this day..
time has allowed me to heal somewhat as i am able to now share..
with the upcoming anniversary it stirs up old wounds..
as i look at my newborn son and watch my daughters grow..
theyve allowed me to reflect on the good thats still yet to come...
...
my mom was spared
my sister was spared
was the best birthday present my dad could have ever had that year
september 11
havin been through the bombing myself..
worked there for years developing a great deal of memories..
and as i passed the site not but a few hours ago..
id like to pay tribute to my friends who werent so fortunate..
ive waited for so long to do..
id like to say in their honor..
lets treat ourselves with dignity and respect
life is important...lets make it count
lets not forget..

Yea, my father works in NYC and worked in the WTC plenty of times.
Luckily, it wasn't him that was working there that day, but a co-worker was
.
It's amazing how shocking the event was, yet how numb our generation has become that it was only a week later that everyone was back to making fun of that event or life in general.
*the rapture is coming*

Very true stuff..
The reason I live in this country now is because my family left our War torn Nicaragua.. in search of a better place to raise us.. and yet here we are.. in fear for out lives.. Now that I am on my own I realize that I must live my life to the fullest and never forget what has been fought for.. I will not take the freedom this country has given my for granted..

I cannot express how saddened and angered I am by that attack. I was on the observation floor 2 months earlier with my wife and son. I never realized you could go to the roof and planned on it on our next visit to NYC.
I grew up on Long Island NY and took many school field trips to the WTC I took my son there because I wanted him to see those amazing buildings.
Well written poem amp. I will pass it on to one of my friends in NY who volenteered at ground zero for months and helped with the cleanup.
I watched a documentary on the events of 9/11 and saw a lot of footage I never saw before it was haunting.
A member of TeamFC3S lost a family member in the WTC. He took it really hard.
As far a jokes go I never heard a one. And if I did it would not be recieved very well from me.

I'm pretty much anti any war (on our soil or NOT) since I've been in one up close and very personally, but I watched a PBS program last night about that WTC attacks.
It stirred so many emotions in me from that day that I serisouly cannot blame ANYONE for going to war with terrorists in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
After the program last night, I was left speechless, I couldn't sleep for hours.
