Nope its bs--he gets nothing free---only a % off parts--its all bullshit.

Alright. That's fine. I'll ask him for the link again tomorrow, and see if it's the same site. The email that they gave him said he'd get $7,000, and had to go to so many car shows of their choice (I think). If it's the same site though, I'll ask him if he read the fine (or not so) print

Back in the 80's I was "sponsered" by a local shop. I got parts at cost.

What did you do to get "sponsored" by them?

I was buying ALOT of parts from them, driving well and presenting a good image. Which is what they are looking for.

The point being: UNLESS you are extremely well known or have a inside connection (Your dad owns the company, etc) you need to have a proven car out there. No SANE person is going to "front" you a sponsership to build a car; UNLESS you are Chip Foose or Boyd Coddington, Abel Aberra etc.

If you are going to be sponsored in an FD, for racing purposes, call local companies.

If you are going to be sponsored in an FD, for show only, call the cops, cause I'm gonna come kick yo ***!

:P Jp, what car do you own and what are your plans....?
