Different strokes for different folks. They are both 15's, as opposed to 17's joe would be looking at, and his tire size and sidewall will look very different.
Hideous? I didn't like them on the Acura at first (that's my friends car, that car kicks ***) but now they've grown on me. I see tons of tire/rim combo's at the track and I love these and the mesh drag/racing rims (damn, the name escapes me at the moment).
But as I said, to me, any decent looking 5 spoke rim looks great on a sports car...

i hate black wheels. wheels should stand out and black wheels dont and are hard to see the design. if you want a 5 spoke with fatter spokes look at the gramlights 57pro. get it in the gold finsh with the polished lip
