Rota Slipstreams are a great choice given they are durable, light, and inexpensive. They don't look like the stock rims, other than being 5-spoke...but then again then you can say that about any five spoke rim...
They have a cool design with the small but significant "Lip", and the spokes are wider and flat as opposed to stock round spokes. The other rims someone showed does look nice but since the spokes are so thin it sort of looks "Weak".
A large part of what makes slipstreams look so great is the way the inside of the lip works with a nice, stiff, 2-3" sidewall of a good R-compound tire.
Of course, it's all subjective, and opinionated. But I definitely think they'd look great on your white FD, in black.
Don't forget they make these rims in all sorts of shades, black with polished lip, gunmetal, silver, white alloy...
I prefer some thickness in the sidewall as opposed to rubber band tires
Get them Chico.
I love any decent 5spoke design on the FD, the stockers, the Slipstreams, the ones posted (like this):
and this:
I think what does it for me is the size of the spokes (prefer thicker over fragile thin), the size of the tire (sidewall too! Not just width of the rim/tire), and last and certainly, stance (ride height).
