So today some old guy in a built up late 60's malibu came up along side me today. He was missing his hood.... it must have flown away with the super speeds!
But either way, it was hilarious. He kept jumping his car at me. It was slow. He didnt smile much when we flew past him. He seemed kinda bitter.
But a surfer dude in a mini van thought it was awesome. As he came up along side and in the best cliche surfer voice you can muster up, said, "WHOOO! HOW YOU GONNA DRIVE A CAR LIKE THAT WITHOUT ONE OF THESE!!!!!" and proceeded to point to his radar detector. He then hit the gas in his late 90s dodge caravan while holding his hand out the window to indicate that I 'hang loose'.
It was fantastically hilarious.
Oh... and someone already bought me a corvette shirt. lol
I swear, the strangest people like these cars.

Well, for all fairness, most of you guys will never see 425hp out of a rotary.
I am still a V8 guy at heart, I know if I want to truly pound the pavement the best way is with a V8. There is no replacement for displacement, period. Mod for mod, a larger engine will ALWAYS make more power. There's just something so fun about having such a small engine and actually being able to produce some kind of power and 1/4 mile numbers... David and Goliath if you will.

Ah HA... see the 2nd Gens are for the young and unsuccessful. 1st gens are a true classic, therefore showing that I am successful. It takes a successful man to drive a vintage foreign sports car. It's like a Ferrarri Dino, right? RIGHT? /win
101 cars you must drive

425hp in a car this small is not exactly needed, really. I mean for me 300hp would be fine...anything over that would just get me killed. In a bigger or more advanced car, sure I'll take more horse...why the **** not, driving characteristics change...im not going to track race a Camaro unless its straight line and I'll gladly take the new Skyline it can handle if for sure.

yeah the rotary doesnt burn tires like a hemi, but its just funny that the hemi has the reputation of being so fast, but its not....
actually back in the 70's an rx2 or 3 with a header would take anything out of detroit...
