I have never owned a PC, but have had plenty of time on them (who hasn't).
Sad thing, as much as I love my Mac(s), I have to buy a PC laptop to tune when I get a Megasquirt since the OSX software for it is somewhat 'unstable'.
The Vista screens look good though. Much better than previous stuff. Things can only get better from here, right?
if you have an intel mac (aka macbook, or the likes) just get parallels program and you can fully run the windows xp OS in a seperate window in the actual osx of the mac.
or you can just use the dual-boot and have to reboot to load win xp, which is how the intel macs come standard, just gotta install windoze.
