call the cops on him, so you wont end up in jail for beating the crap out of him after he denies hitting your car, if the cops dont scare him to pay, then call his job, he or his company would have to pay and he'd probably lose his job too.
So basically, call the cops and he pays out of pocket and you get paid-he's broke,
call the cops he forks over some insurance info and you get paid-he's insurance goes up,
or you call his job and his company insuracne pays and you get paid- he gets fired
No need to go bust up your knuckles go to jail or get a ticket for someone else's stupidity.
If you really dont want to involve the cops, send a letter. Whatever you do, play it smart so it wont cost you more money in the end. Good Luck!

Well the guy called me tonight and offered to have the damaged repaired. Told him I had something already organised, and he said he would pay for it. So should be sorted.
Turned out alright in the end.
Car gets fixed. I get some money.

**** that just get money *** oles like that need to be taught a lesson I say **** with him somemore. Make him do at least one thing that is totally demining to make him realsie what a dick he is. I say make hm hold a big sign at a busy intersection that says "I hit someone and drove off now I have to hold this stupid sign all day" Give him about six hours on a saturday to realise why he should not do that.

he made a mistake and got caught.. just make him pay up; get a high estimate for more than it will cost and make a few bucks outta it for your trouble. let it go, him paying out of pocket should be good enough lesson not to do it again.
