people care too much about this ****. i dont think its even possible for a house to lose its value by 25% because its next to a house with a 13 car garage.

See, Rob made a decision what was important to him, for HIS circumstances. When I got out of the Navy, I knew I didnt want to live in a subdivision, with storm sewers and newspaper delivery. I want to live my life in a manner which I ENJOY. I do not enjoy:

Covetants

Home Owner Associations

Municiple Restrictions yday yada yada

So I moved AWY from town, where there is no zoning, restrictions etc.

there has to be SOME zoning there?

is there no concern with what someone might be doing in a large building on thier property? No concerns for enviromental or hazardous materials being stored there?

You need to look a little more into this, what if your neighboor who built himself a big garage has chemicals stored there and something happens? The results could be catastrophic.

Im not a fan of those sub divisions with all the same houses and you cant even paint your front door without asking permission, but sometimes rules are there for reasons.
