i just ask for what i want to drink... if i want a coke, i order a glass of rum and ask them to add some sort of color to it for me.











"pop" is NEVER an acceptable answer. unless it's a frosty barley pop.

I gave up on correcting people, "Its soda not pop you morons", I'm outnumbered by pop drinkers.



It also depends on the container ie; Soda bottle and pop can.

I'm a reformed pop guy. I starting saying soda a few years ago, I think it just sounds better. I had a friend from the South who used to get upset when I would pronounce caramel like a "car," that you would drive.

Lets see...mostly I hear soda in California, save for areas of Bakersfield which is populated by ex OKies and they call it Pop.



I don't pay attention to Iowans.



Come to think of it a fair number of people just call it coke no matter what it is you're getting.
