have YOU read the page? or perhaps the manuals for the car? read the manuals for process of bleeding air form coolant system. one says the ast does it, the other says "remove rad cap"



you decide which says which.

I read it but I don't understand the source of the miniscule bubbles.. That's a major issue for any vehicle.. There is a flaw in design somewhere if the coolant is getting bubbles on a sealed system no?



Otherwise all cars would have this..

ok ive now read the page.



it filters "tiny bubbles"........oh god quick lemme get that my temps would drop a bajillion degrees.



quick someone tell ferrari, since they dont even have AST's and their v12's seem to cool fine.

The extremely hot bubbles cause localized overheating!!!!!

A radiator that is slanted forward at a fairly severe angle.



I think some of the reasoning behind its purpose is still up for debate. When I saw Pettit a while back they had eliminated the AST tank on their race car but the radiator was upright.

damn tomorrow i am so putting my rad straight up, dont want "localized overheating"...as if it goes long distance sometimes...
