i met a man once when i used to work as a locksmith.. he came to get some keys for his merkur xr4ti.. turns out he road races alot.. gave me a business card.. not an email address .. then another time I bumped into a guy near the key shop we had, he's all into rx7's.. he was tellin me he has a built fc yada yada yada.. as always you go along just no to be rude.. turns out.. he does have a built fc.. after knowin the guy for a while we would then hang out sometimes.. his car was at a shop two blocks away from the locksmith shop we had.. fd uim custom machined adapted to the fc lim.. v clamps all around on the exhaust and intake piping.. fat *** ITS turbo.. microtech.. mustang cobra wheels.. sexy style front fenders and rear flares.. and now has has a old school 240z.. doesnt do forums at all.. he has tons of connection for parts though.. all through word of mouth and calling people.. its crazy in this day and age to find people like that.. they do tons of footwork to get the experience they have.. they get on the phone and call around.. its pretty cool.. that fc was sittin in a shop in inglewood next to two ragtop impalas gettin hydraulic work done.. very fancy ****.. in an unlikely place. you can't bullshit as much in real life i guess.. and thats why lots of the good shops stay off the net..

75 REPU= thats the way it USED to be. You had to know people and know someone who had done it.
When I swapped the motor in my first car there was no internet!
I had to read, ask, and make phone calls to shops all over the country to get advice and buy parts, it could literally take a week
to track down how you could get a certain transmission mounted in a car because somewhere along the phone chain one guy
would say something like "there is a crossmember made that will do what you need it to do- try calling this guy"
and then the internet comes along and now you HOPE what you read is right, but there are gurantees.
I dont give much credit to pictures online, lots of times I have seen things in person and I am shocked how much
crappier things look, but when you see something in person there are no doubts.

You totally missed my point, but it may be my fault I may not have been clear.
No worries, I knew you were exaggerating.

Actually I was holding back, I have been screwed over by so called Guru's online. They are jokes.
I was just looking at ANOTHER engine in my friends shop that was sold by a VERY big name in the southeast (north of Florida) and its another fraud. Its supposed to be a 13B-REW and it has Series 5 housings, and a series 4 gasket on the front cover. The holes do not work but who cares.
It seems the rotary community is a magnet for frauds.
Its amazing how many sheeple will run to these morons like moths to a flame. I guess this is how they make their money sell **** to the unknowing.
