So I'm on fordtough.ca
I got an invite to join this website, so I'm checking it out.
Some guy out in BC has a thread going asking about if anyone is drag racing. I was out west racing this summer so I checked it out. Turns out he's got a 10 second 1st gen. When I asked about modifications to the car he said, quote:
I gotta say I wasn't really expecting to come across that!

I gotta say I wasn't really expecting to come across that!
Just goes to show not all the REAL Rotary tuners are not on the internets.
I come across so many here in Florida with sick cars and do not even bother with forums.
How about a 530RWHP 8 second Corolla with a 13BT and Haltech, I saw him dyno at Pettits and he does not go online.

Google has a .ca website. You can pick the option "websites from Canada" when you search. It's handy sometimes, like if you're trying to find business websites locally and there's **** out there on the rest of the planet with the same name.
I got to thinking more about this today.
Does Racing beat had someone online to interact with?
How about MazdaTrix?
Does Jim Downing go online? How about Roger Mandeville? <--- both legends in Rotary road racing.
Steve O'Bleans? <----- 4 time national BP class Autocross champ in the SCCA
How about smaller well know shops like Pettit Racing?
I might be wrong but none of them go online to forums. Kind of crazy that the actual leaders in the rotary world, the movers and shakers if you will, are not online in forums.
BTW= Through the Porsche community I was able to meet a guy from North Carolina that was heavily involved with the Mazdaspeed racing program in the late 70's through the 80's and now works for a brake company that supplies to motorsports teams. He gave me technical pamphlets, apparel, and books from his Mazdaspeed days because he knew I was a rotorhead and knew I would love the stuff.
Talking at length with him in a bar in Fontana NC one time was memorable, his knowledge of the rotary, even after being away for almost 20 years was amazing, he gave me some great tips for setting up my car for racing and tips for tuning as well. You find knowledge in the craziest places.

someone with knowledge in the business may not post to share thier tips, or they know that unfortunetly there will be trolls who will **** all over what they say- unless you have been on a forum for a while if you are a new guy some assclown with 6000 posts gets to preach his word as gospel and all his sheep will flock to him also.
