i got back from MEPS like 30 minutes ago



i ship out may 5th for fort benning, georgia for basic training



then i stay there for 14 weeks to finish ait....i go to 3 week airbone at bragg, then back to benning for ranger school, some other schools, and SF school



i graduate basic as E-3 18x special forces

It'll be interesting to see what they give you for hand to hand combat training.. what style they base it on is what I wanna know.. I know Navy Seals do the first 6 months of Kung Fu San Soo.. yellow belts basically... Don't get in any barfights man..

 

Take care of yourself bro. It's not as easy as most people assume it is. I love the military life and have been in for a little over 5 years now. Good luck to you.

You'll never regret it, well, maybe in the beginning, but then you'll look back and say " that was the best decision I ever made."

 

I don't care for the military. I'm almost out of the marines. I've been treated like **** for over 4 years. I thought it would get better when I became a Sergeant. Marines have a fine tradition of treating each other like ****. I hope your career is better. Good luck.
