I am really impressed at how many famous people are kicking in their own money.

Its amazing how many countries are rallying to get help to this region.

Hopefully this will not be a replay of Bam, Iran. Hopefull yhte money goes where it belongs.

people will just cheat less, tax revenue will stay the same or maybe go up. this happened in NZ and the US, when the tax RATE goes down, the revenue goes up, because people cheat less

94touring 01-06-2005 04:52 PM

How much did Kerry and his billionaire wife donate?

9BASE3 01-06-2005 04:56 PM

It's great that people are trying to help and all... And I feel very badly for the victims.. But what about all the florida folk whove been smashed? California with it's fires? Where were all the celebs after 911? (I do know some helped...)

What about the THOUSANDS of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with NON-Armored hummers? We couldn't afford that but we can afford relief to other countries?

Sorry... Just ranting. Hoping a random attachment with boobies will occur.

nevermind oil producing, those countries are mostly fellow Muslims too...........

Rob x-7 01-06-2005 06:47 PM

for rich and famous people I think its the "IN" thing to do to make yourself look like you care.

TYSON 01-06-2005 06:56 PM

If I made $65 million a year I would go ahead and donate a ton when I felt the urge too.

It might be the same percentage of income, but someone making $32,500 a year donating $5,000 dollars would be a hell of a lot more of a sacrifice.....
